We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your data will be treated confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (in particular GDPR, BDSG, TTDSG) and this data protection declaration.


3. Collection and storage of personal data, nature and purpose of use

A) when Visiting the Website

When you access our website www.md-law.de, information is automatically sent to our website’s server by the browser used on your device. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Website from which the access is made (referrer URL)
  • Browser used and, if applicable, operating system

The processing takes place for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection setup,
  • Ensuring convenient use of our website,
  • Evaluation of system security and stability.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

B) Contact via WPForms

If you contact us via our contact form, your details (name, e-mail, telephone number and message, if applicable) will be stored for processing your enquiry.

4. Use of plugins and tools

  • WPForms: Used for contacting us. Data is processed exclusively on our servers.
  • Complianz: Cookie consent management, storage of your selection in a technically necessary cookie.
  • Caching plugins (WP Super Cache / LiteSpeed Cache): Used for performance optimization. No personal data storage.
  • Smush: Image optimization, processing on local servers.
  • Wordfence: Security plugin, checks accesses for unauthorized attacks, processing IP addresses.
  • Yoast SEO: No storage of personal data.
  • Polylang: Storage of the language preference in a cookie.
  • Ditty News Ticker: Display of scrolling texts, no additional data storage.
  • YouTube: Embedded videos run in enhanced data protection mode; data (e.g. IP address) may be transferred to Google.

5. Disclosure of data

Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties, except:

  • You have expressly consented (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR),
  • this is legally permissible and necessary for the processing of contractual relationships (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR),
  • a legal obligation exists (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR).

You have the following rights:

  • Information (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • Correction (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • Deletion (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • Objection (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
